One optional PRO purchase through Google Play — lifetime or annual. Payment is handled entirely by Google; we never see your card. That's the whole business model: you pay for software, not with your data.
Check for yourself: Android's network usage screen, or any packet-capture tool, will show you the complete egress list above — and nothing else. There is no analytics SDK in the APK to find.
Nothing — that's the point of local-first. Your data lives in files on your device, and the export produces a standard JSON backup you always control. There's no server to switch off.
Restore your encrypted backup (Drive or file) on a new device and enter your PIN. Backups carry their own key material, so they restore anywhere — but without your PIN, they're AES-256 ciphertext to everyone, including us.
The engine uses year-keyed HMRC tables — income tax with allowance taper, employee NI, all five student loan plans on current 2026/27 thresholds, and salary-sacrifice pension. Historical payslips compute with the rates that applied that year. It's an estimate for planning, not filing advice.
